Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. producer of Yellawood brand Pressure-Treated Pine is seeking a Quality Control Technician for the location in Hagerstown, Maryland. This is a full time position offering competitive pay and full benefit package.

2nd shift hours: Monday-Friday 2pm-12am ($1 shift differential)

Summary: Monitors and documents quality control measures for pressure-treated lumber by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting unacceptable materials
• Verify in-process production by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating the required adjustments to the Treating Operator and Supervisor
• Sample all finished products and conduct required tests
• Identify and segregate products for re-work if needed
• Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs
• Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with company policies
• Learn the Treating Process and assist operator in daily operations task

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Quality control experience
• Experience in the lumber industry a plus!
