LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Medical-Surgical Job at The Richland Hospital, Inc.
The Richland Hospital, Inc. currently have available for a Medical-Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This is a twelve hour night shift position with some varying to day shift, every third weekend and holiday rotation.
The Medical-Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for age-specific data collection, performing observations of patients' physical, psychological, and social needs, assisting the registered nurse in developing a plan of care and providing direct patient care under the supervision of the registered nurse. In collaboration with a Registered Nurse, LPN responsibilities include, but are not limited to: medication administration, care planning, implementation, intervention, and evaluation of treatment, and telemetry monitoring. In collaboration with the RN team member, the LPN works with the patient/family/significant other(s) and other interdisciplinary team members to develop an individualized plan of care to include educational and discharge planning interventions. Provides age-appropriate nursing care to patients in accordance with the standards of Clinical Nursing Practice. The LPN is responsible for communicating and collaborating with members of the direct patient care team to prioritize workload so that patient care outcomes are achieved. The LPN promotes a cohesive environment and interacts effectively and professionally with all members of the patient care team.
Qualifications: Successful completion of an accredited practical nursing program; current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Wisconsin; BLS certification required or completion within 3 months of hire; and previous nursing experience preferred.
