LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Job at Gastro Florida
Gastroenterology ARNP/Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
We are seeking competent, conscientious, service-oriented and personable individuals with strong character to predominantly be responsible for supporting the division providers in providing high-quality clinical care to the patients. This individual will work under the direction of the division physicians and Practice Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- LPN with 2 years of medical office experience utilizing EMR/practice management systems. Some openings may require Phlebotomy experience. Must have the ability to multitask, take initiative, and work in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Criminal background and drug screening required as well as excellent professional references.
Preferences:
- At least 1 year of GI experience or specialty practice experience.
- Preference may be given to candidates with scribing experience.
Role:
Room Patients
· Obtain medical history and reason for visit.
· Obtain vitals.
· Assist with patient comfort.
Maintenance of Clinical Area
· Promote patient safety, including creating a safe clinical environment for patients in accordance with industry standards, regulations and Gastro Florida & division policies.
· Maintain adequate clinical supplies and ensure all rooms are properly stocked.
· Ensure clinical equipment remains in operating condition.
Supports Medical Practitioner
· Assist in clinical service (including phlebotomy) as directed by physician and within scope of practice.
· Enter clinical data accurately and efficiently.
· Readily provide medical chart information (including from outside practices and labs.)
Patient Liaison
· Assist in ePrescribing.
· Coordinate with other personnel to ensure pre-authorizations for services and medications are obtained.
· Assist with patient education.
· Advise patients of test results, physician instructions and necessary follow-up orders.
· Triage patient calls in a timely and cordial manner.
· Respond to patient inquiries.
Administration/Compliance
· Identify and recommend policies and procedures as needed to ensure quality, compliance, accuracy and cost efficiency; including triggers for providers to successfully implement Gastro Florida initiatives such as Clinical Research.
Personal Growth & Development
· Maintain required certifications & licensure.
· Attend periodic training & development opportunities and meetings pertinent to position.

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
