Position Summary:

As a Logistics Leader, manage all of the daily logistics activities within the plant and R&D functions. Manage the cycle count process and activity, work closely with operations, supply chain, and commercial team members to manage the inbound and outbound shipments.
Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the site subject matter expert for logistics operations
  • Responsible for receiving incoming materials and physical movement from one area to another using forklifts or designated equipment
  • Responsible for the creation and management of all shipment activities in accordance with company policy and procedures
  • Lead cycle counts at a regular interval to ensure inventory accuracy and support Inventory Management activities
  • Ability to work with suppliers and complete subcontracting transactions in ERP (SAP)
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, and Commercial Team members
  • Support Purchase Requisitions in ERP (SAP) for Mfg and Technology
  • Manage carriers for inbound and outbound shipments
  • Collaborate with Quality for release of incoming and outgoing product
  • Lead communication to track shipments between plants
  • Photograph and file outgoing product both physically and electronically
  • Organize and file shipping/receiving paperwork in accordance with policy
  • Assist with streamline invoicing, addressing systemic issues
  • Responsible for managing Waste pickups (recycling, moly, quartz, cardboard, pallets, brick)
  • Supports shipment of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous wastes (Waste Manifests)
  • Train and assist others as required
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the work area
  • Work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements
  • Perform other work as required

Key Relationships:
Operations, Planning, Supply Chain, Product Managers, Sales, Quality, Production Managers, and Materials Managers
Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 5 year’s experience in logistics & supervisory experience
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull material
  • Ability to operate equipment, including forklift and straight truck
  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems
  • Fluent with Microsoft applications
  • Effectively communicate with key personnel (written and oral)
  • Demonstrated ability to work without direct supervision
