The Loader/checker is responsible for loading or unloading of trailers. Moving /staging materials within the plant or yard, performing checks to verify items are loaded per load sheet.
Whirlwind's goal is to provide fabricated structures for families, congregations and businesses in the most efficient manner while maintaining a safe work environment. The role of the Loader/Checker operator is crucial to the overall manufacturing process of our products.
Job Responsibilities
Reads work order or follows oral instructions to load materials to flatbed trailers.
Loads or unloads materials onto or from pallets, racks, trailers and shelves by hand or forklift.
Loads materials into and onto trailers. Installs, bracing, or dunnage to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools. Use of dunnage to separate material while loading.
Moves materials to or from storage or work area to designated area, using forklift or overhead crane
Job Qualifications
Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to operate overhead crane, forklift and yard tractor.
Must be able to work outside on shipping yard throughout the seasons.
Meticulous attention to detail with a desire to produce high quality and accurate work.
