Knowledgeable and skilled in a variety of cooking methods, our cooks are responsible for preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner, and break food items for banquet functions in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.
Duties include
- Follows basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts.
- Prepares foods under direct supervision or instruction by operating a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, washing, peeling, cutting and shredding fruits and vegetables.
- Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment, including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill.
- Be able to support any position in the Kitchen that is in need of help
- Maintain a “clean as you go” philosophy
- Maintain safe food handling procedures at all times
