Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN - Psych

CareerStaff Unlimited is looking to hire an experienced LPN for a full-time, contract opportunity at a psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center for children and adolescents in Dothan, AL. This 13-week contract offers 12-hour night shifts and an extension might be available. Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of experience working as a Psych LPN. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work with other personnel and develop/maintain good relations
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of care and current clinical practice, treatments, and interventions, specific to psychiatric treatment
• Ability to understand and monitor regulations, policies, and procedures
• Promote patient independence by establishing patient care goals
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with rules and regulations
• Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism
• Ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc.
• Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
• Instruct and educate patients and families
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE LPN JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous Psych experience preferred
• BLS issued through American Heart Association
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• LPN license in Alabama
