CWWCHC is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our medical team. The LPN will be responsible for providing basic medical attention to patients and assessing their wellbeing as part of a larger medical team.
Responsibilities
· Record a patient’s medical history accurately
· Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
· Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
· Monitor patients’ condition and compose patient charts
· Administer injections and assist with other basic medical care tasks
· Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
· Report the status of their patients to the supervisor
Qualifications and Skills
- Successful completion of an LPN Program
- 3 - 5 years of experience working as an LPN
- Strong communication skills
- Good time management and organization
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
- Extensive knowledge of basic health care procedures
- Knowledge in measuring and administering medication
- Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
- Excellent knowledge of medical and health center terminology
- Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and able to handle stress
- Familiarity with FQHCs a plus
