Library Services Assistant Job at AtlantiCare
POSITION SUMMARY
TheLibrary Services Assistant provides, maintains, and administers an informational system which provides all hospital personnel, students and volunteers with exposure to literature and educational materials which enhance job functioning and/or training. This position will assist CME coordinator when necessary in facilitating organization of CME programs, in simulation training and in supporting the IRB. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Associate's Degree in related field or specialized secretarial training required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years secretarial experience required. 1-3 years' experience as a librarian preferred.
Well-developed communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required. Proficiency with computer applications required. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury.
Physical demands include, but are not limited to, frequent bending, reaching and standing, as well as the movement of light to moderately heavy boxes and equipment.

This position reports to department leadership.
