Legal Assistant Job at Arnold Law Group, APC
Arnold Law Group, APC is seeking a highly motivated and organized Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join our team. As a legal assistant or paralegal, you will provide crucial support to our legal professionals and contribute to the smooth operation of our law firm.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with drafting and preparing legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, contracts, and correspondence.
- Maintain and organize legal files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Conduct legal research and compile relevant information for cases.
- Schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings, and manage attorney calendars.
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, and other parties involved in legal proceedings.
- Prepare for and on occasion attend court hearings, trials, and depositions, providing administrative and logistical support.
- Perform administrative tasks such as managing incoming calls, handling correspondence, and maintaining office supplies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in legal research and knowledge of legal terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
