Springfield Christian Academy located in Conyers is currently seeking a Lead Pre-K Teacher who is passionate about the growth and development of children while proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are looking for an experienced teacher to fill a Full-Time position. Ideal candidates must be reliable and flexible; proficient with their writing and language and literacy skills. Furthermore, candidates should have experience with observing, documenting, and planning for young children based on observations and developmentally appropriate practices.

Sign on Bonus for Full-time Employment (Eligible after 90 days)

Pay Ranges from $11.00 to $15.00 per hour (Based on Position, Education, and Experience)

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise children at all times maintaining a secure, safe environment for children to play and learn in.
• Supervise and train assistants in your room on policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Create and follow lesson plans designed to assist in teaching the Abeka Christian Curriculum
• Maintain a fun, safe, and interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
• Physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors.
• Able to assume postures at low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe and engage in physical activity with children.

Full Time Teachers must have:

• Two years or more center-based childcare experience with children 3 to 5 years old.
• Associate’s Degree or Higher in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
• Para Professional Certificate, CDA, Technical Certificate or Credit, or Child Care related Diploma from a vocational institute and qualifying experience.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification or willing to obtain within 30 days
• Satisfactory Criminal Records Check
• Must be willing to complete 18 continuous hours of childcare training annually
• Must be able to work Monday through Friday.
• Compensation determined by experience and education.
