As the Laundry Aide you’ll interact and engage with residents while in their apartments and throughout the community. You play a key role in creating a well-maintained atmosphere of dignity and respect for our residents and guests by ensuring resident laundry is clean, well maintained and returned in a timely manner.

What Cascade Living and Cascades of the Sierra look for in a Laundry Aide:

• Preferred experience at hotels, country clubs or other similar high-end senior living communities
• Desire to work with seniors
• Compassionate individuals who will represent our community in a positive and professional manner
• Reliable transportation and dependable when it comes to showing up on time
• Sufficient mobility and strength to move freely through the community and to assist transfer or otherwise move residents of the community.
• Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member
• Ownership attitude who can stay focused despite interruptions throughout the day
• Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to detect stains and odors in order to properly treat the clothing.
• Ability to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends as needed

What you can expect to do as a Laundry Aide for Cascades of the Sierra:

• Manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Make a significant contribution to the quality of life of our residents by maintaining the highest possible quality and consistency
• Ability to read labels and instructions for all chemicals used in the Community and able to use them safely and properly
• Duties include sorting, reading clothing labels thoroughly to ensure clothing is washed at correct temperature, to prevent damaging.
• Returning clothing and linens to the correct resident apartment in a timely manner; to meet resident satisfaction and prevent items from being lost.
• Washes and folds laundry, distributes clean linens and towels and maintains a stocked cleaning cart for housekeeping needs as requested.
• Demonstrate organizational skills around time management and efficiency.
• Actively participates as a member of a team and committed to working toward team goals
• Promote the mission, values, and beliefs of Cascade Living

Wage: $13.92+/hr DOE
