Large Transfer Press - MI Job at Modineer Company
Job Title: Large Transfer Press Operators- (Niles)
Reports to: Shift Supervisor
FLSA Status: NON-EXEMPT
Schedule: ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Training could last 4-6 weeks.
- Loading and unloading manual parts we run. Must be able to lift heavier objects and stand all day.
- Stack parts from the press into proper dunnage
- Assist the operator/set as directed by the operator or supervision
- Will load coils, set shut heights, and program the feed settings.
- Rework parts, and sometimes will be sent to other departments during any extended downtime of the press
- Cleaning, mopping, sweeping, and general organization on their immediate work area
- Perform QC inspections on parts
- Will also learn how to work the Progressive Press (but on a larger scale)
- Must be a TEAM PLAYER
Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge:
- Experience preferred, but not necessary.
- Be comfortable around heavy machinery
- Must be a team player
- Must have shift and overtime flexibility including weekends
- Must be able to work safely and move at a moderate to fast pace across specified terrain for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 60lbs on a routine, daily basis.
- Stand, & use arms/legs continually and repeatedly over an extended period of time.
Physical environment/working conditions:
Works in a production facility. The individual will stand and operate heavy machinery and lifting heavy objects throughout the entire shift.

Must be able to work as part of a team.
