Laborer Job at Cleveland-Cliffs
Ferrous Processing and Trading a business of Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for a Laborer (1st Shift) at the Miami, FL operation. The Laborer will perform manual, routine, and repetitive work under general supervision.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Loads and unloads materials from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers using mobile equipment or by hand
- Performs cleaning duties related to plant equipment and general housekeeping
- Assists mechanics in the maintenance of equipment including plant equipment
- Interacts with customers or drivers to direct or assist them
- Sort a variety of recycled materials and metals to separate out high-grade metals and removes any non-conforming metals
- Performs other general laborer tasks as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to follow oral and written communication
- Ability to climb ladders or steps to reach objects
- Work cooperatively with other employees and the public
- Must be able to work rotating shifts
- Pre-Employment background, physical, and hair drug screen required
