Come join our dedicated team as our new Customer Service Specialist 2. In this important role, you’ll be part of our Vancouver office, which is a fun and energetic team ran by our Office Manager/CSS4. As a part of our Customer Service team, you’ll be the first point of contact between our diverse customers and our agency. We offer many services ranging from registering contractors, to selling electrical permits, to assisting injured workers and helping those that have been victims of crime. We offer services in person, over the phone, and via email and regular mail. We are looking for an awesome team player that is dedicated to offering top notch customer service to all of our customers and ensuring our customers receive all needed resources. Duties


Some of what you’ll do:

  • Assist customers over the phone, in person, or in writing to identify needs, provide information, or direct customers to resources.
  • Explain to customers the requirements and related procedures to guide them in accessing L&l services or licensing and certification.
  • Review, research and process registration and permit applications for completeness and accept or deny for processing.
  • Provide agency interpretation and accurately apply knowledge of laws, regulations, and processes in the resolution of inquiries, complaints and problems while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
  • Educate and assist customers in applying for and purchasing electrical, plumber, boiler, elevator, asbestos, factory assembled structure (FAS), and specialty contractor licenses and certifications.
  • Enter required data and payment information in appropriate systems to issue the license, certificate or registration. In all money transactions, adhere to established cash management policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers (injured workers, employers and providers) and claims management.
  • Use telephonic interpretive services to assist customers with limited English proficiency. Provide technical support to internal program staff
  • Provide coverage to the regional offices on an as needed basis.

Qualifications


REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience providing direct customer service. Demonstration of position specific skills and abilities.

DESIRED:
  • An Associate’s degree AND two years of experience providing assistance to customers regarding inquiries, complaints or problems
  • 1 year of cash handling experience.
