The Kitchen Porter AM is responsible for making sure that all elements of the kitchen are in place.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 / hour

Job Duties:

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand
• Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Clean or prepare various foods for cooking or serving.
• Set up banquet tables.
• Sweep or scrub floors.
• Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.
• Receive and store supplies.
• Load or unload trucks that deliver or pick up food or supplies.

Education/ Experience:

• Must have at least two years of working in a kitchen as a cook or porter
• Must have knowledge of first in first out methods
• Must have knowledge of fish and meat quality
• Understands basic receiving techniques

Schedule Requirements:

• AM schedule may fluctuate based on departmental requirements.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to walk and stand for hours at a time. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Work in a restaurant/special event environment.
