Responsibilities
- Assist in facilitating daily programs and activities provided in a specific program area, such as academic, computer lab, arts and crafts physical education, good character & citizenship, and health and wellness.
- Greet parents in a professional and cheerful manner as they drop off and pick up their child.
- May assist with logging members attendance in a data base system.
- Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
- Ensure that Club is promoted in a positive manner.
Qualifications
- Currently in High School and at least 16 years old.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire.
- The ability to exude confidence and maintain control of a safe and positive youth development environment.
- The ability and desire to work with youth age 6 to 12 in a variety of environments.
- The ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic knowledge of some or all of the following: child and adolescent development, behavior management techniques, principles of effective youth development programming, and CPR/First Aid.
