About the Job
We are looking for Japanese native speakers, who can assist us with remote Final Verification of the projects. We are able to offer a for a long-term collaboration with an Argos client.
Job Description
Freelance position for Japanese native speakers. Final Verification is a Quality Assurance service that involves running final quality checks on the bilingual files before they are delivered to the client.
Some of the tasks involved in Final Verification are:
- Checking the spelling of words and proper names;
- Checking the grammar and syntax of sentences and phrases;
- Checking the punctuation and capitalization of text;
- Checking the style and tone of voice of the content;
- Checking the consistency and accuracy of terminology and abbreviations;
- Checking the adherence to client-specific guidelines and preferences;
- Checking the cultural appropriateness and sensitivity of the content;
- Checking possible character limitations;
- Checking implementation of queries raised up by translation teams
The projects are quoted hourly and we require regular daily availability.
No translation experience is required.
Qualifications
- Native speaker of Japanese;
- Fluency in English;
- Language- related studies can be an asset;
- Proficiency in computer skills;
- Capability to organize own work;
- Good communication skills;
- Daily availability.
