SUMMARY:
Under direction of the IT Manager, the IT Support Technician will oversee the computer systems for the Casino and provide technical and preventive and corrective maintenance to desktop systems, enterprise applications, audio-visual equipment, and telecommunications devices. Provide hardware and software support for users. Create and maintain technical documentation to insure efficient planning and document system configurations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Will perform routine maintenance, updates and patches to servers, operating systems and software applications.
• Requires working knowledge with Windows servers, TCP/IP, Microsoft Clusters, Active Directory, and VPNs.
• Major responsibilities include monitoring IT infrastructure and network performance.
• Requires the ability to work on weekends.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support.
• Tracks and maintains computer inventory data.
• Manage telephone system and communications.
• Responsible for Network and Internet security.
• Provides technical support to casino staff.
• Provide recommendations regarding hardware, software, peripherals, processes and procedures.
• Monitor scheduled casino computer systems upgrades, installations, and repairs.
• Vendor management, manage licensing and comply with current regulations.
• Troubleshoots problems at the systems and application level.
• Administering and upgrading supporting applications and systems running on the Windows OS and related platforms.
• Prepares and maintains technical records and documentation in conformance to department standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 2 - 4 years experience with combined education, preferably in gaming industry.
• Computer hardware, software, basic networking and peripherals.
• Windows 2000 thru 2015 Server support experience desirable.
• Networking support experience .
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge and/or experience with data communications devices (switches, hubs, routers, firewalls).
• Prior experience in a casino IT environment preferred.
• All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to speak, read and write the English language.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/OTHER

• A+ Certification.
• Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result.
• Must be able to pass background check and receive a gaming license from the Robinson Rancheria Gaming Commission as required to work in gaming operations.
• Must pass an annual Title 31 exam.
