Overview

The Systems Analyst is responsible to ensure that computer systems and software applications are functional and fulfilling their business need. The analyst is the expert on how the system works from a technical perspective and assist the business around the business functionality. The analyst partners with business owners to gather requirements for software and hardware solutions and is responsible for writing functional and technical specifications. The analyst is responsible for owning a project from inception to end-of-life and this includes discovery, design and development, and go-live. The systems analyst is also required to continually support the business with request and incidents tickets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 1-2 years of relevant job experience required. 3-5 years’ experience required if no degree.
• Experience in systems analysis, modeling, and requirements gathering
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Experience in programming in Microsoft .Net C# and VB.NET using Visual Studio with Windows Forms and Web application development using ASP.NET MVC or ASP.NET Razor Pages.
• Experience designing database tables, triggers, views, and stored procedures and writing complex SQL using SQL Server Management Studio
• Experience creating reports in SQL Server Reporting Services
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written

Essential Functions

• Partners with the business and technical teams for discover and understanding the desired outcome of a system
• Capturing functional and technical specifications using analysis and data modeling techniques
• Design and build the solution, performs unit testing, integration testing, and assists the users during user acceptance testing
• Full stack development – this includes backend, integration, services, and front-end user experience
• Document user manuals to describe application installation and operating procedures
• Supports the business through the help desk to resolve request and incident tickets
