The Network Engineer will install, configure and maintain network and server infrastructure. Job duties:

• Perform analysis of network needs and guides design of network architecture, integration, and installation
• Designs, specifies, configures, installs, and maintains local area network hardware, software, and telecommunications services such as servers, routers, firewalls – security devices, switches, and associated hardware/software
• Ability to configure server environment, Active Directory, Data Backup, Patching, software updates, and storage systems. VMWare, Exchange and Security
• Performs network troubleshooting in order to diagnose common network problems
• Maintains detailed documentation of network system to include complete diagrams of wide-area and local-area infrastructures.
• Collect artifacts for security audits
• Provides hardware and software technical support to all users of network system
• Provides input to IT Director concerning policies and procedures related to network hardware and software acquisitions, use, support, security and backup.

REQUIREMENTS

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in Computer Science or Business Information Systems and/or four years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 4+ years of Network Engineer experience
• CCNP certification
• Experience with the following: VMware, VMware Horizon, vCenter, vSphere, SAN, Storage, Servers, Hosts
• Working knowledge of hardware/software technologies used within the application area, including network and telecommunications, Data Storage, Virtual platforms.
• Experience should also include the use of DUO, OPSWAT, CISCO Umbrella, AV
• Effective communication, presentation, written, and negotiation skills are needed.
• Must possess project management skills and must have the ability to interface with all levels of management, employees and clients.
• Experience with the Microsoft suite of tools and detailed understanding of network-based equipment including telecommunication equipment
