Inventory Specialist Job at Choctaw Nation
SCHEDULE: PRIMARILY 8:00 AM TO 6:30 PM, WILL INCLUDE OCCASIONAL NIGHTS OR EARLY MORNINGS AND WEEKENDS
Job Purpose or Objective(s): Assist Area Retail Inventory Manager in ensuring inventories are accurate and audits are correct to prevent fraud and protect company assets. You will report to the Area Retail Inventory Manager.
Primary Tasks:
Support the compliance program for Choctaw Nation’s Division of Commerce Retail including BR Data, RORC, Radiant, PDI, Surveillance, Tidel Safes, Glory Recycler.
Review standard processes and find any irregular occurrence of the approved SOP’s.
Conduct research issues and process reportable transactions.
Maintain security tape logs for dispensers of safe audits, drawer audits, and internal store audits.
Conduct audit verification testing activities for all audit findings reported, ensure deficiencies are corrected prior to follow-up testing and escalates any issues not adequately corrected.
Conduct assessments of current processes to help evaluate current efficiency and variances across properties, while identifying improvement opportunities.
Evaluate suspicious incident reports, investigate issues and prepare official reports.
Conduct associate training on compliance issues.
Prepare weekly written reports to communicate compliance findings with communication and resolutions to management.
Conduct daily and quarterly retail inventory audits on-site.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Skills including the ability to assess and decompose processes using a risk matrix
- Must act in handling sensitive materials
- Ability to stand on feet 6+ hours to perform job responsibilities
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to navigate a variety of computer applications
- Two (2) years of audit experience
