How you will make an impact…
As an Inventory Coordinator II, you will be an integral part of the team. You will be researching, tracking, and driving the release and shipping of products using various proprietary computer systems including an Inventory Management System, Receiving System, Daily Production Scheduler and National distributors databases (i.e., FedEx, UPS, DHL).
What you will do…
Manage and verify the receipt of in house manufactured goods and process requests based on established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Track and receive materials from external vendors and clients.
Receive and issue finished materials to the In Process Inspection Department for final inspection.
Apply First In/First Out methodology (FIFO) to issue materials for distribution to all internal departments.
Enter product and shipment data accurately and customize shipping per customer requirements.
Pack labels into boxes in such a manner as to avoid any damage in transit.
Remove expired label inventory per established procedures and timelines.
Work together with cross-functional department managers and supervisors to meet company goals and objectives.
Account for all inventory and always ensure accurate identification of products including the timely return of all labels to inventory and the verification of label IDs.
Assist in developing and maintaining procedures for areas of responsibility and proactively recommend process improvements.
Maintain and proactively order shipping supplies (Boxes, Cartons, Tapes, Bubble Wrap, skids etc.) to always ensure adequate supply levels.
Operate all tools and equipment, forklift trucks, hand trucks, and use of electronic scales safely.
Maintain all work areas in an orderly fashion.
Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner. Must always wear safety shoes.
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
How you will get here…
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience
1+ years of experience in inventory control & inventory management systems
Experience in International trade compliance highly preferred
Prior experience with First In/First Out Methodology (FIFO)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Valid driver’s license with clean history which must be maintained throughout employment
Multi-task with minimal errors
Light to moderate lifting of boxes and storage material averaging 20 lbs.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Balance multiple projects simultaneously
Prioritize and adjust to meet the daily inventory management tasks by supervising production schedule and shifting priorities
Effectively communicate work status and changes to schedule needs and brings up issues appropriately to leadership; must be able to communicate efficiently with all levels of personnel.
Proactively handle workload and adjust based on daily priorities to ensure timelines are met and the most cost effective and efficient processes are implemented
Must be available for overtime including weekends as needed.
