Position Purpose:
The Corporate Communications Coordinator works to ensure employees of Signature are kept informed, inspired, and motivated. They do this by co-leading communication efforts, utilizing all channels, such as direct emails, recurring newsletters, text-messaging, instant-messaging channels, and printed and published documents and compositions. They lead in establishing organizational messages and keeping staff informed of developments. They will bring a dynamic communication approach to our 1,000+ person hybrid workforce to appeal to fully remote, hybrid, and on-site Associates. This position upholds and establishes the voice of corporate communications sent among staff. This person will be the go-to person among the company for Company and Individual-Associate Awards. They will research what awards are most sought after that best align with our company culture, business achievements, industry impact, and beyond. They will closely work with various Subject Matter Experts and leadership throughout the firm to obtain information to write nomination-worthy award submissions.

Essential Job Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Establish an internal communications strategy in conjunction with senior members of the Organization Experience Team.
  • Ensure organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders.
  • Write specific content based upon work location (fully remote staff, hybrid staff, on-site staff).
  • Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as all-staff communications, external magazines, video productions, event communications, and/or regular email bulletin. You may also be required to work on the layout of content.
  • When collaborating with department heads and subject matter experts to ghost-write their announcements, you will keep involved parties abreast of progress, answer their questions, and act as the subject matter expert for a communication plan.
  • Effectively manage distribution lists for a variety of audiences within the firm by utilizing real-time reports provided by Human Resources.
  • Storyboard or translate ideas to the creative team.
  • Create and ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organization.
  • Edit, approve, and ensure all copy is grammatically correct, in tune with the Signature voice, and can be understood at the 10th grade reading-level.
  • Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages.
  • Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly.
  • Help build, improve and design future strategies related to improving culture, performance and return on the individual (ROI).
  • Assist (as needed) when writing copy for learning/training materials through our Learning Management System, live training, and/or written documents.
  • Consult with various subject matter experts and leaders within the firm to write award nominations on behalf of Signature Performance.
  • Fluidly understand our business offerings, milestones, and advancements to effectively find, write, and submit worthwhile awards on behalf of Signature Performance pursue based upon our current business offerings, leader's achievements, culture and talent efforts, and more.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • College degree or background in in journalism, communications, public relations or marketing
  • Prior experience collaborating with senior leaders is preferred
  • Previous knowledge of the healthcare administration and healthcare technology industries is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience working with a communications team, especially internal communication, for a large organization, is most sought after
  • Experience of writing for a variety of different audiences is also desired
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to present and communicate to large and small groups
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based communication platforms
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Personal traits of a high-level commitment, motivation, energy, team orientation, professionalism, trust, personal honesty and integrity, and a demonstration of placing others in a place of high value.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
