Responsibilities
Valley Hospital is a 122 bed psychiatric hospital located in Phoenix, Arizona. Valley features individual units for adults and offers inpatient acute care and intensive outpatient programs including Freedom Care, a dedicated first responder and military program. Valley Hospital is built on three core principles, outstanding care, compassionate people and unparalleled service.
This is a full-time, onsite, leadership position. The schedule will be Monday – Friday

Summary:
The Assistant Director provides direction for the Intake Admissions Department in the assigned area(s) in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the Hospital and within the framework of established policies and procedures of the Department of Intake and Admissions. The Assistant Director is responsible for the clinical leadership and coordination of patient flow and staff productivity in the Intake and Admissions department. As a key team member in the Intake and admissions area, the Assistant Director promotes a climate of effective performance through role modeling, willingness to learn and teach, and availability to patients and staff. Organizes, manages and coordinates nursing services and will assure quality.
Qualifications
Licensed in the State of Arizona as a LPC, LAC, LMSW, LISAC, LCSW or RN required. Four years of hospital experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.- Thorough working knowledge of Hospital, Intake/Admissions with demonstrated ability to use skills in clinical and managerial situations.
- Prior management/leadership experience of a multiple disciplinary team preferred
- Additional Requirements:
- CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of employment
- Must complete Satori Alternatives for Managing Aggression (SAMA) within 30 days of employment
