Instrumentation and Controls Engineer Job at Hazen and Sawyer
Hazen and Sawyer is seeking candidates for a full-time Instrumentation and Controls Engineer :
- Provide instrumentation and control (I&C) system engineering and design for water and wastewater projects.
- Work includes both in-plant and remote telemetry (SCADA) projects with the potential for HMI/PLC programming.
- Develop Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs); prepare I&C system specifications; prepare cost estimate for projects; and review and approve documentation developed by contractors.
- Inspect, test, and approve of I&C work provided by contractors at water and wastewater facilities.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Knowledge of water/wastewater or industrial process instrumentation and equipment.
- Must know how to use AutoCAD, or AutoCAD Plant 3D, or be willing to learn.
- Control system software configuration/programming capability preferred.
- Electrical design experience is a plus.
- Good verbal, writing and interpersonal skills are essential for coordination with other disciplines, and client interface.
- 4-10 years of I&C design experience preferred; more or less will be considered.
Education Requirements
- BS/BE Engineering
- Must have a PE License, or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
