Fastsigns of Richmond is looking to add a knowledgeable and experienced Production and Installation Technician to our fast-paced, growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing a variety of signage and visual graphics mediums. The ideal candidate has previous installation and production experience in the signage industry, but this is not an absolute requirement. Any construction/contractor experience is also acceptable. As each install job presents its own unique set of challenges, the candidate should possess strong problem-solving abilities, as well as the ability to work independently and as a team with minimal supervision. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a growing team in a fast-paced environment, while constantly learning and improving their skills.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Installing a variety of signage including channel letters on buildings, vinyl decals to store fronts and vehicles, monument signs, LED signage, and other signage and graphic demands.
• Removing any existing signage or vinyl at the job site.
• Efficiently performing several installation jobs on any given day.
• Assisting at the production facility when not out on an install job.
• Providing support for customers while representing Fastsigns in an appropriate and commendable manner.
• Communicating with the sales teams, management, and production teams to ensure the install is completed per the customer’s order.
• Following safety protocols when on sites and working with heavy machinery and tools, including wearing hard hats and safety vests.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and utilize the bucket lift truck.

A typical day for our installation team includes arriving at the Rockville production facility at 8:00 am. After a quick meeting with the production manager, our install team loads the needed tools and signs into the necessary vehicles, including our installation van and F450 bucket truck. On any given day, our installers complete multiple jobs throughout the metro-Richmond area. Typically, the day ends at 5:00pm, however, on some occasions, larger jobs require overtime work. Weekend work is rare. In the event that install jobs are finished early, our install team returns to the production facility to assist our production team with any tasks necessary. Fastsigns provides all the necessary tools to efficiently and effectively complete jobs to provide excellent service to our customers.
