Installation Manager- Luxury Home Improvement

Kent, WA

Manage all aspects of company’s installation objectives and goals. Responsible for leadership, development, and accountability for a team of installers. Ensure quality daily operational functions for the company. Based on provided designs and components, construct, erect, install, and repair custom storage systems and accessories using laminate wood, edge-banding, hardware and other materials, requiring your skills with hand tools and power tools.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Hire, train, develop team of skilled and semi-skilled installers to install custom storage systems such as closets, cabinets, offices, and other spaces in the home or commercial buildings.
  • Utilize company provided CAD drawings\blueprints to properly and efficiently install systems.
  • Assure that all installation employees go through our certification program
  • Lead and develop a team of installers who are required to assemble and install systems of varying complexity.
  • Oversee the execution of quality. Effectively handle customer escalations.
  • Maintain shop tools and equipment in safe working order. Tools are provided.
  • Assist team with installing systems independently or with team members depending on the size of the job.
  • Provide a high level of customer service for in-home installations.
  • Install materials safely and maintain safety standards at all times.
  • Responsible for driving to and from customer sites and maintaining company provided vehicles in a safe manner. Handle any vehicle problems immediately.
  • Perform employee performance reviews and address disciplinary action when needed.
  • Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communication, coaching, and goal setting
  • Ensure compliance with Company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, and safety

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Competencies:

  • Decisions will affect others within and outside the functional area
  • Understanding a range of work procedures and practices, some of which are non-routine, which require a base level of specialized / technical knowledge. Acquired through some formal training or equivalent experience.
  • Requires the ability to elaborate on routine information and ensure understanding
  • External communication that includes clients, vendors, gov’t agencies, and service providers
  • Internal Communication that includes manufacturing, corporate, and other CCO teams.
  • Makes minor corrections and adjustments to solve simple issues
  • Work will be guided by specific procedures and well define instructions. The team member will normally not deviate without seeking advice or guidance.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

· High school diploma and/or GED, some college education preferred

· 2+ years of experience construction and/or in the home renovations/improvement industry

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to hold team of Installers accountable for productivity and schedule management.
  • Must maintain valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and installation instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Experience with common hand and power tools
  • Trade or vocational school experience desirable
  • Cabinetry or carpentry skills required
  • Must have strong leadership skills with excellent oral and written communication and listening skills
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
  • Able to provide high level of customer service
  • Able to work individually and in teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
