Under general supervision, performs inspections for the Office of Investigations & Enforcement to ensure compliance with statutes and regulations for programs and boards that have statutory inspection authority.

Performs routine and opening inspections of offices, facilities, and/or locations of licensees to ensure compliance with applicable inspection criteria set out in statutes and regulations. Contacts owners to set up initial opening inspections for these businesses. Prepares inspection reports immediately after inspections and provides a copy to the licensees. As appropriate, answer questions that licensees have regarding the inspection process. Timely scans inspection documents into the Regulatory Licensing and Enforcement System (ReLaes) software system. Maintains a high level of professionalism with internal and external customers.

Prepares and issues citations following established guidelines. Clearly and concisely explains to licensees the basis for the citations and corrective actions required. Conducts follow-up inspections and submits and maintains written inspection reports and their results detailing whether corrective action has occurred. Prepares memos of non-compliance and supporting documentation to present to the Investigative Review Committee (IRC).

Conducts complaint based inspections and submits a report of findings and updates into the ReLAES system. Meets with respondents and witnesses,
as necessary, to gather information to present as evidence at hearings. Works closely with the Office of Disciplinary Counsel as needed. Attends IRC's
and Board meetings as needed. Appears and testifies at hearings. Makes recommendations concerning inspections processes and procedures

Prepares and maintains a work schedule, utilizing the electronic calendar, outlining daily activities. Enters time, attendance, and leave into SCEIS per agency guidelines. Timely submits monthly and other required reports to the Chief Investigator.

Performs other duties as required.

State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.

Must have a valid driver's license and 10 year MVR that complies with State and Agency Fleet guidelines. May require extended periods of driving, sitting, and visiting facilities that are non-ADA complaint. May need to bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to 50 lbs.
