Role Summary

The Inside Corporate Sales Specialist I supports corporate sales initiatives at Alaska Airlines. As an individual contributor, this role focuses on managing contracts and creating, designing and distributing communication on new products, offers and services to the corporate and agency community.

Key Duties

  • Under the direction of supervisor, promotes and develops a brand preference for Alaska within the agency and corporate community.
  • Focuses on creating, designing and distributing communication to the corporate and agency community on a regular basis with a focus on new products, offers and service reminders that cater to a diverse Alaska Airlines customer base.
  • Supports sales managers with data aggregation, collateral preparation for presentations, and special service requests by local key accounts.
  • Provides input into team processes and procedures to improve promotion of Alaska Airlines services and benefits.
  • Researches and resolves booking problems for active high-value corporate customers.
  • Supports with contracts, building contract terms, driving contracts and related exhibits, and managing contract signatories. Issues addendums related to contract changes and networks with legal department for any contractual changes to verbiage.
  • Prepares the product feature and benefits section of all corporate request for proposals (RFPs) from Fortune 500 companies and tracks timelines established by the account to ensure compliance.
  • Supports sales leadership at corporate headquarters with event planning, meetings, and community events.
  • Strong liaison with our pricing and revenue management team and also works closely with our Inside Sales Desk with waivers, favors and customer requests.
  • Supports the process for VTAs in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree, or 2 years of experience in sales, customer service or related area in lieu of this degree.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, including the ability to diplomatically handle difficult customer service situations.
  • Ability to embrace challenges and different ways of thinking, as well as adapt to an ever-changing market environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work hours outside the conventional 9-5 M-F timeframe.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% outside assigned territory.
  • Detailed oriented and highly organized, with ability to multi-task and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, and listening).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • 1 year of experience in aviation, travel, or tourism industry.
  • Knowledge of Alaska Airlines products and services, including corporate travel opportunities through programs such as EasyBiz.
  • Knowledge of RUMBA/mainframe applications.
  • Proficiency with global distribution systems (GDS) such as SABRE.

Salary Range

$51,800 - $72,600 / year

Salary Details

Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
