Northern Virginia - Inpatient /Outpatient Psychiatrist - $300,000+

As an established network of behavioral health clinics throughout northern Virginia, we are empowering our psychiatrists to provide easy access to high-quality, outcomes-based treatment to all those that need help, when they need it most. In addition to outpatient clinics throughout the area we are now responsible for the inpatient Psychiatric care at Dominion Hospital.

The position is a blend of inpatient and outpatient services. Percentage and schedule of inpatient and outpatient services is somewhat flexible. Position offers a great opportunity for a mix of services.

Compensation:

- $300,000 + Based on experience

Inpatient:

Dominion Hospital- 116 bed short term behavioral health care facility: Falls Church, VA

- The Psychiatrist will be working in collaboration with the Advanced Practice Practitioner (APP) and treatment team to provide direct inpatient care at Dominion Hospital.

- In addition to child, adolescent and adult units Dominion Hospital is home to one of only two Joint Commission accredited programs for eating disorders as well as a Substance Use Disorder unit. Treatment levels include Inpatient, Crisis Stabilization, PHP an IOP.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Psychiatrist will complete evaluations, paperwork, and hearings for involuntary patients
• Psychiatrist will review and cosign any documentation completed by the APP as required by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and Insurance.
• Overnight call responsibilities
• 1 weekend every 4 weeks

Outpatient: (afternoons after rounding but flexible depending on coverage plan for inpatient services)

- In addition to the inpatient services, we have several outpatient clinic locations. Outpatient will be typical intakes and follow ups for medication management as well as collaboration or supervision of APPs (PMHNPs, NPs, PA-C)

- Interest in Interventional Psychiatric Treatments including TMS (Neurostar TMS equipment), ECT and Ketamine, Esketamine treatment is welcome. (experience is not necessary we will train you)

- Administrative time will be built into the provider’s schedule. All locations are within 30 minutes of the hospital

Requirements:

• ABPN Board Eligible/Board Certified Psychiatry
• Active Virginia Medical and DEA Licenses
