Vasaio Schools continues to grow!

We are doing exciting things, and are searching for experienced care givers with excellent attitudes and passion for learning to join our team.

We operate three schools, all of which are located off of Jungermann Road in the heart of Saint Peters. Our newest center has been recently remodeled, and is truly an innovative Reggio-inspired facility!

We are Reggio-based programs, and applicants should possess a knowledge of or interest in the Reggio philosophy. We focus heavily on art, nature, freedom, and child led learning. The children we serve range in age from 1 day old to 6 years, and there are unlimited opportunities to connect and explore with them every day.

Daily shifts will vary, and we have many part-time and full-time opportunities available. We also offer flexible floater positions!

Our school's opening hours are from 6am to 6pm, Monday through Friday, and we observe most Federal holidays. Most of our staff are COVID vaccinated and although we highly encourage vaccination we do not require it for employment.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Maintaining the classroom by utilizing organizational skills and nurturing good housekeeping habits with the students.

Providing daily interesting and dynamic provocations for students and documenting their involvement with provocations and other materials with photography and journals.

Providing meaningful answers to inquiries from students with care and respect.

Maintaining friendly and professional relationships with fellow staff members and students’ families.

Maintaining a professional demeanor, communicating effectively and clearly (verbal and written), including communications via our parent app (Brightwheel).

Additionally, applicants must:

Be able to perform daily housekeeping duties (i.e. sweep, mop, take trash out). Our jobs are very physical and employees may be subject to bending over multiple times a day, lifting/reaching over head, sitting on the floor or standing for long periods of time, navigating stairs multiple times a day, navigating different substrates outside (i.e. sand, rocks, grass, mulch), and playing outside in the heat or cold. Applicants must be able to lift 50lb.

Be a minimum of 18 years old and must be eligible to work in the United States.

Be able to pass a background check, medical examination, TB test/evaluation, and a drug screening.

We prefer candidates:

Have a minimum of 2 years experience working with young children (under 5) in a professional setting.

Have a minimum of 18 college semester credits in child related courses, although a degree is not required.
