Title: Industrial Maintenance Supervisor-Sardis, MS plant

Reports to: Plant Manager

Hours of Work: Monday- Friday 6:30am - 3:30pm Nights and Weekends as needed

Method of Pay: Salary (weekly)

Description: Industrial Maintenance Supervisor

Industrial Maintenance Summary: will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical,

PLC, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Job Duties:

Works with the management team to ensure all equipment meets safety requirements and has full authority related to safety.

Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying and established procedures, rules, and regulations.

Manages a maintenance department of approximately 6-8 employees

Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department

Evaluates systems or facilities, to determine repairs to be performed

Assess equipment to plan work assignments and project schedules

Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner

Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs

Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects

Meets maintenance financial standards by monitoring expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions

Improves function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results; identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions

Must have advanced skills/knowledge of hydraulic, welding, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Must be able to follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and manufacturer's instructions.

Must be skilled at troubleshooting malfunctions.

Communicates often with all team members regarding work completed, and the status of projects.

Helps maintain equipment, parts, and supplies by checking out stock; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies, and communicating needs to the

Purchasing Department.

Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.

Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs, both verbally and through work orders.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

This position is on the floor approximately 75% of the time verifying safety is being followed, verifying task performance and monitoring project status. At time is will be necessary to assist the maintenance team to accomplish projects on time. Approximately 25% of the time will be planning, documenting and scheduling.

Required Skills/Qualifications: Prior Industrial Maintenance Supervision is required.
