Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, New York (Bohemia) has an exciting new opportunity for an In-Process Inspector. The successful incumbent will be responsible for interfacing with manufacturing and engineering personnel as well as reporting findings. Please note this positions operates under the day-shift.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform In-Process Inspection / First Article Inspection
• Report Findings
• Interface with manufacturing and engineering personnel
• Filing of documents

Position Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in precision machine parts inspection
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, GDT 14.5 and knowledge of shop Math.
• Ability to use measuring equipment
• Familiarity with Statistics, SPC or sampling inspection is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with other people
• Experience with CMM inspection preferred
• Familiarity with PCDMIS preferred
• Basic understanding of 3D models a plus
