Description:
The HVAC Controls Helper must have the willingness to learn Direct Digital Controls using control system schematics, understanding control wiring, control components and HVAC systems while assisting with installations. Rogers Mechanical Contractor’s (“RMC”, “Company”) HVAC Controls Helper will adhere to all RMC field management’s requests for work to be performed while complying with instruction(s). HVAC Controls Helper is responsible for maintaining an open, positive, and professional line of communication with customers, vendors, general contractors, internal customers and trade partners. This position does include travel.
Requirements:Job Responsibilities (list is not inclusive)
- Must be at jobsite at scheduled start time
- Must be able to travel
- Must turn in timesheet, and other required reports as indicated by your supervisor
- Must be able to follow instructions and to work well with team members and other jobsite personnel
- Must be able to work after hours, weekends with short notice
- Must demonstrate ability to learn blueprints, submittals and understand operational/product manuals.
- Attend all jobsite safety meetings and adhere to all safety standards at jobsite
- Must abide by all RMC and General Contractors safety policy and procedures
- Learn industry relevant building codes and regulations for the installation of HVAC system controls
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to safely work at elevations such as roofs, using scissor lifts and ladders
- Excellent written, verbal and listening interpersonal skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with other trades
- Time management skills
- OSHA 10 Certification Preferred
