As a Human Resources Manager you will help guide and communicate company strategy, ensure the HR policies and procedures fit the operational needs, provide training and development, and tend to day-today administrative HR duties. A Human Resources Manager is part of the leadership team, working together to accomplish the properties goals and objectives.

Essential Functions:

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Conducts monthly meetings with respective business units.
- Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the greater HR team to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners senior leadership as needed/required.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Conduct industry-related job and salary surveys and analyze results.
- Develop and recommend property policies and procedures, prepare and maintain employee handbooks with Corporate HR department guidance, and communicate policies and procedures at the property and ensure compliance with the same.
- Monitors workers’ compensation claims, and return to work initiatives
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Processes new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Works with agencies to assist international employees with J-1 process expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and/or skill required.
Education and Experience:
- At least 4 years of experience in a key Human Resource role (generalist, HRBP, HR Manager)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferred
- National HR certification from HRCI or SHRM, preferred
- OR and equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Knowledge and Skills:
Preferred Knowledge of:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Skilled in:
- Familiarity with computers and computer related programs such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, iPad, iMacs, iPhones, and Android apps
- In all situations demonstrate Character, Courtesy, Calm, and Charm
- Ability to learn and understand a variety of information pertaining to the resort and the area we serve
- Planning and prioritizing of tasks in a self-directed work environment and maintaining high levels of productivity without direct supervision
Able to:
- Write routine reports and correspondence
- Work independently or in a team environment and take direction
- Work until all daily duties are complete, even if this means working more than 8 hours in one shift
- While this is typically a Monday through Friday position, ability to work on a Saturday or Sunday to meet hiring, staffing, and orientation demands as summer and winter season approaches
