About this Role
The HRIS Analyst is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the company’s HRIS system and environment (Ceridian DayForce), ensuring proper setup and ongoing functionality. This position partners with the HR and Payroll teams to provide support to employees for all concerns related to the Dayforce HRIS system, providing exceptional customer service. This position will identify needs and train employees of varying technical competence and comfort levels. The HRIS Analyst will maintain up-to-date knowledge on new software versions and releases of Ceridian DayForce, as well as support any software upgrades, patches, testing, or other technical projects as they arise.
Responsibilities:Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serves as the point of contact for all HRIS needs, supporting HR and Payroll needs and providing front-end user support to all levels of employees with varying levels of comfort and experience with technology.
- Partners with key stakeholders to understand functional requirements, make recommendations and deliver effective, scalable solutions through planning, design, development, testing, and deployment with required documentation. Takes action that is consistent with available data, considering potential challenges and consequences.
- Maintains ongoing knowledge of current HR and Payroll trends and takes steps to address those needs using HRIS technology solutions.
- Ensures proper functioning and regular maintenance of the HRIS, including processing employee updates, adjusting workflows, and managing employee self-service functionality.
- Validates and ensures ongoing integrity of employee data. Creates and distributes reports fulfilling information and records requests while maintaining employee confidentiality.
- Validates & uploads component interface data into HRIS system for mass updates such as supervisor changes, job data changes, additional pay, special accumulators, etc.
- Develops, maintains, and monitors metrics dashboards and recurring/scheduled reports.
- Develops and delivers training to end users. Creates procedural training materials, quick tips and help documents.
- Works with other functions within HR to develop efficiencies between HRIS modules to meet the needs of the workforce.
- Works with Payroll and HR for implementation of new HRIS modules during transition and roll-out periods.
- Stays up to date on new system releases and versions.
- Troubleshoots and contacts HRIS customer support for assistance as needed.
- Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the role, in both written and verbal communication.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- REQUIRED: HRIS experience with Ceridian/DayForce applications and implementations
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to facilitate effective working relationships and provide top-notch internal customer service.
- Working knowledge of Human Resources fields (compliance, compensation, benefits, performance management, recruiting, onboarding, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, translate, and present data to a variety of different audiences and skill levels
- Strong project management skills and ability to translate internal client and business needs into technical solutions.
- Ability to organize, plan and prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
- HRIS, People Analytics, Data Analytics, or other industry-related professional certification
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification
- Progressive HRIS experience with Ceridian/DayForce applications and a broad knowledge of all HR functions.
- Experience with Ceridian/DayForce upgrades and implementations, successful completion of testing and deployment.
- Experience working in a Human Resources or Payroll function providing day-to-day support for employees
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Computer Science, Information Management, Data Analytics, or related field, or equivalent combination of education/experience in a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience implementing and supporting complex HR and/or payroll systems.
