HR Consultant (Recruiting and Onboarding)- On Site Job at North Carolina Specialty Hospital, LLC
$61,000 - $78,000 Annually (Hiring Salary will commensurate with prior experience)
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Partners with hiring managers for full-cycle recruiting, including updating job descriptions, preparing job requisitions, assisting and participating, when applicable, within the multi-step interviewing process and supporting through the onboarding process for all candidates.
- Prepares and supports hiring managers for panel interview selection, interview scheduling, interview rubrics, reference checking and all necessary needs for a smooth hiring process.
- Maintains communications and relationships with new hires to resolve any issues and questions throughout the onboarding process. Highly responsive with candidates during the interview and initial onboarding experience ensuring a friendly and welcoming environment.
- Implements a retention plan for new hires including stay-interviews and ongoing communication plan for the first 90 days of hire.
- Participates in job fairs and often lead New Hire Orientation when Director is unavailable.
- Maintains compliance with onboarding documentation including background and MVR checks, other certification references, I-9 and E-verify compliance reporting, and licensure and certification verification.
- Participates in new hire orientation in an interactive and informative manner ensuring new hires are engaged while informing and collecting needed and timely information.
- Responsible for participating and completing verification of employment and various survey requests on benefits and compensation.
- Including initiating applicable background checks, and medical testing, entering into applicable HR systems, creating first day / week agendas, answering any questions the new hire has.
- Coordinating with others to ensure a great onboarding experience, working with hiring managers to ensure they receive any support needed, following up with new hires post-start, and more.

Education & Experience:
- BA/BS degree in a related discipline required from an accredited four-year college or university with two to three years of prior experience in a HR supportive role preferably in a hospital setting.
- Prior experience working within talent acquisition/recruiting and onboarding is highly desired.
- PHR; SPHR; SHRM-CP; SHRM-SCP; preferred or (4+ years of related experience and degree will be considered in lieu of PHR; SPHR; SHRM-CP; SHRM-SCP).
- Prior experience working within an Applicant Tracking system required with preference given to those with prior experience working within UltiPro (UKG).
Organizational Framework:
- This position reports to the HR Director.
- This position has no direct reports.
- Advises, leads, consults and coordinates with:
o Hiring managers
o IT
o All employees in an onboarding capacity
