POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the Human Resources team, this position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The HRBP serves as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues. The successful HRBP will act as a champion and change agent through consultation, service and day to day HR support in employee relations, workforce planning, performance management/coaching, training and employee development, compensation and policy interpretation in a consistent manner that is aligned with company policies, procedures and programs. The HRBP formulates cross-functional partnerships to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.

The HRBP will partner with the HR Manager and operation leaders and must understand the business beyond the HR function, influence the overall operations and contribute to successful business outcomes. The HRBP will act as change agent; assess and anticipate HR-related needs and proactively communicate needs with the HR team and leadership teams. HRBP will identify and influence new ways for HR to support the business and strategies.

POSITION DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following:

Employee Relations

· Respond to employee concerns and provide employee relations guidance to supervisors and managers in order to ensure effective application of company policies/procedures

· Drive employee engagement through supporting action planning, communication and talent development

· Investigate root causes or employee relations issues and develop strategies to address/reduce them

Talent Management

· Implement and manage organizational programs relative to employee development, retention, performance management, onboarding, career development, and succession planning to ensure a talent pipeline that will successfully enable current strategies and future growth

· Work closely with HR and management to identify immediate and long-term skills needs and develop strategies to attain them

· Analyze employee turnover, identifying trends and make recommendations to affect the morale, attitude and retention of talent

· Develop annual workforce plan for corporate and partner with recruiting team to ensure location(s) have the talent and staff needed to effectively and efficiently operate at desired overtime and employee retention levels

Business Partnership

· Participates in the development and execution of department goals, objectives and systems that directly impact HR initiatives and overall business plans for the company

· Facilitates effective communication between HR and business leaders to provide visibility to upcoming HR initiatives and employee issues

· Coach supervisors on key HR policies and processes, including talent planning, learning and development, and performance management to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development

· Help plan and execute organization effectiveness projects to streamline and implement structures, roles, and/or processes that create speed and efficiency and support shifting business demands and culture evolution

Talent Acquisition

· Collaborating with the Talent Acquisition team serving the Wausau area to make sure that we are meeting the recruitment needs for operations

· In times of high volume or vacation coverage, may help support sourcing, scheduling, interviewing, and selection process for identified positions

· Works closely with the Manager of Training and Development to ensure an effective new employee orientation program to ensure a smooth transition.

· Delivering HR related presentations to new hires such as benefits, payroll, etc.

· Conducts new hire check-ins and feedback meetings.

· Facilitates associate training as required (Safety, Code of Conduct, Anti-Harassment, etc.), and acts as the liaison to work with and leverage the Manager of Training and Development for training content, LMS and facilitation to meet the needs of the assigned areas.

HRIS Administration Support

· Provide HRIS (Kronos, Workday, Achievers, etc.) support to team members

  • Provide support for HR driven projects and processes, to include benchmarking or other research, data collection and analysis, reporting, tracking key metrics, and project management.
  • Leverage data to understand and proactively handle issues such as turnover, organizational spans of control and layers, diversity, equity, and similar key indicators.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from a 4-year college or university in related field.

· Minimum three years relevant generalist work experience in Human Resources (preferably in a manufacturing environment).

Licenses & Certifications:

PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

· Ability to understand the Apogee and Window and Wall Systems businesses (EFCO and Wausau brands), aligning programs and services with strategic and business objectives.

· Advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems (preferably Kronos/Workday), and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Mostly an office environment with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor. The noise levels in the work environment are usually moderate.

This position supports the Stratford and Wausau campuses of Window and Wall Systems. This individual may be scheduled one day per week in Stratford. This position may have infrequent (1-2 times per year) to visit corporate (Minneapolis) or Monett, MO.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the facility. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk and hear. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
