ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:The Housekeeper is accountable to maintain a sanitary, safe, attractive and orderly environment for the Residents of Eden Village and to act as an advocate for Residents and/or family members.

• Provides housekeeping for Resident rooms in Senior Living (garden homes and apartments) and the Care Center as assigned and in compliance with departmental procedures related to specific cleaning services and frequency.
• May provide additional Housekeeping services as part of the Senior Living Supportive Services program.
• Provides housekeeping to common areas (bathrooms, dining rooms, shower rooms, activity areas, guest suite, etc.) as assigned.
• Follows all departmental policies and procedures related to disposal of infectious waste and other risk management/safety procedures.
• Takes care of equipment to assure correct operation and reports malfunctions to supervisor.
• Assists with room moves (Care Center) as assigned.
• Assists with terminal cleaning after Resident expiration's (Care Center), i.e., packing personal belongings for family member pick up, providing terminal cleaning of bed, furniture, fixtures, etc.
• Understands regulations/requirements of all oversight bodies, i.e., Illinois Department of Public Health, Life Safety, OSHA, etc., as related to housekeeping roles/responsibilities.

Please note that Eden Village is located in Glen Carbon, IL, right next to Edwardsville, IL. We are a quick 20-25 minutes from St. Louis MO, Alton IL, Granite City IL, and even closer to Maryville IL, Collinsville IL, and Troy IL. Located close to all major highways/interstates.
