Role: Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

Facility & Location: Elder Life Home Care, One Hovchild Blvd, 4000 NJ-66 Suite 225, Tinton Falls, NJ 07753. We're also looking for candidates in Monmouth County and Ocean County, NJ.

Job Summary:

Are you Caring, Compassionate, and Patient? Do you want to make a difference in the Elder Care field? We are actively seeking responsible and reliable Certified Home Health Aides to work in the areas of Tinton Falls, New Jersey 07753.

Our Home Care staff are fully insured, certified, and licensed, so they can transport you or a loved one home from the care facility or hospital, providing essential support during an often stressful time. Once home, caregivers provide monitoring, reminders and emotional support to help the individual recover successfully.

We invest time and effort in our hiring and training process. We get to know our caregivers so that we can make the best possible match for each client. A good fit, and staffing consistency contribute greatly to a successful outcome for all. Each of our caregivers go through an extensive screening and hiring process, resulting in our ability to provide licensed, bonded, and insured caregivers to all of our clients.

Qualifications:

• Minimum one year work references in any type of field. - Newly certified welcome
• Current HHA - Home Health Aide license listed in good standing with the board
• Must have a strong moral code that prioritises honesty and integrity, and must sincerely care about helping others
• Must have reliable transportation and fulfill assignments with reliability and punctuality.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Maintain home care records that include any changes in nursing assessment or plan of care, diet or personal living activities
• Recognize, document and report changes in patient/client condition and safety to supervisor.
• Handle all paperwork such as client assessments and activity sheets with confidentiality and return on time to the office to ensure accuracy in maintain client’s charts and payroll.
• Attend mandator in-services and provide requested documents to keep employee file current.
• Utilize infection control measures such as universal precautions, hand washing, and personal protective equipment.
• Treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect.
• Communicate with residents and their families in a polite and friendly manner.

Elder Life Management offers expert advice and information on financing the cost of long term care, assisting in applying for government and community programs, and coordinating a move to alternate living arrangements. We also assist with post-hospital discharge planning, the delivery of home care services, and we provide therapeutic counseling services as well.
