Home Health Aide
The following is required of the Aide provided by the awarded contractor:
a. Assist in Activity of Daily Living functions (eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring (walking) and continence) in accordance with the medical treatment plan provided and the reason for hospitalization.
b. Assist in Nutritional functions
c. Assist in routine health care functions under the supervision of a nurse at the assigned hospital. (These Aides will not write on the hospital chart; however, they will document on an appropriate DDSO Logs.)
d. Remain alert and awake during requested tour.
e. Aide must inform the Nurse Administrator at the site of service whenever the aide needs to take a break from service during the shift whereby the Nurse Administrator will assign hospital coverage.
f. Aide must inform both the BFDDSO contact and the administrator at the site of service of any reportable incidents that occur during the time of service. (Contractor will be provided guidance on the types of incidents that must be reported to the DDSO and the hospital administration by the DDSO treatment team.)
