Summary/Objective:

Main Guides are responsible for delivering training, assistance, and encouragement to guests as well as customer service. Main Guides connect with and respond to the needs of guests while following all operational policies and procedures to minimize risk and ensure quality experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Give safety introductions, verbal guidance to guests while climbing and show ability to perform rescues if needed.
• Administer specific ACCT and California State required safety introductions.
• Provide verbal guidance to guests while climbing and show ability to perform rescues if needed.
• Properly fit, train, and monitor guests in the use of all personal protective equipment.
• Provide for an emotionally and physically safe environment with both guests and staff.
• Assist with daily opening and closing of the business and support areas.
• Conduct visual and tactile inspections of all hardware and equipment being used.
• Effectively lead guest activities to ensure an engaging, informative, and inspiring experience.
• Check in guests and perform friendly and helpful customer service.
• Report and log any safety concerns or incidents/accidents.
• Attend in-service rescue refresher trainings.
• Receive Operations and Technical training and guidance from Supervisor and complete routine maintenance checklists and scheduled tasks.

· Operate the kiosk, point of sales, barista/deli and reservation systems: including cleaning areas of the building, such as dishes and restrooms.

· Other duties and projects as assigned, can be upkeep of the property, light maintenance and housekeeping.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, squat, twist, use hands and fingers, to handle, feel, and reach with arms, as well perform tasks that require repetitive movement. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, 40 plus pounds.

Must be comfortable at heights exceeding 20 feet. This position requires the employee to work both inside and outside in warm/cool, hot/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.

After training, must be able to rescue a +/-250 lb. person at heights using a variety of rescue techniques (Training provided by Tree Top Sac and an ACCT certified trainer).
