Overview:

Mach Energy Services LLC (“MES”) was founded in early 2016 and is a rapidly growing provider of energy-related construction solutions for the upstream and midstream markets. MES has a position available in our Operations Support group as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

Job Description:

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic responsibilities include daily routine maintenance on construction equipment. Knowledge of diagnosing and repairing hydraulics, engines, transmissions, differentials, on JLG, JOHN DEERE, KOMATSU, and WOLFE MAN brand equipment is required. The successful candidate must have own tools, and a valid driver's license (CDL Class A) is preferred. Drug screen, physical, and criminal background check is required of the successful candidate. Job Duties:

• Repairs and maintains diesel and gasoline engines used to power machines, and construction machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair construction machinery, troubleshoot equipment performance problems, provide recommendations for problem resolution.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair many different types of construction components, such as hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on construction machinery and equipment; and keep proper records of all tasks performed.
• Conduct diagnostic tests on engine systems to determine and correct system faults.
• Operate hand and power tools, grinders, precision measuring instruments, welders, and oxy/acetylene torch.
• Complete daily maintenance forms, repair logs, JHA s (Job Hazard Analysis) and other required documents.
• Exercise proper lockout/tag out procedures when necessary.
• Exercise safe working practices including use of required PPE.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Accurately manages use and reporting of company provided fuel and purchasing card.
• Perform any additional assigned duties in a safe manner

Work Environment: *

• Mechanic’s Truck, Ford F-550 with Master Mechanic Crane Body provided
• Position is required to work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds on an occasional basis
• Must be able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed boots.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Job Qualifications / Certificates / Licenses

• 2+ years of Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience
• Proficient in reading schematics (both electrical and hydraulic)
• Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision
• Knowledgeable in troubleshooting various heavy equipment product lines
• Experience operating / driving various types of heavy machinery preferred
• Fabrication and welding experience preferred
• Must be able to pass DOT Pre-Employment drug screen and background check
• Must be able to qualify for DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate
• Excellent Driving Record / Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
• MVR with no major moving violations or excessive points
• No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years
• No DWI / DUI in last 10 years
• Factory, vocational or mechanical training is a plus
• SAFELAND certification a plus
