We are currently seeking an Health Information Technician to join our Bronx, NY team at our HUB location.
A Health Information Technician is a professional who processes and maintains the medical records of patients, doctors and healthcare specialists within a medical facility.
Job Competencies:
- Manage e-fax inbox for designated locations and scan documents into the correct patient document folder
- Ensure that patient record requests are responded to timely and accurately according to policy and regulation
- Ensure that all records and documents are maintained, delivered and stored in a secure and confidential manner
- Scan requests from outside entities into eCW within designated time frame
- Retrieve charts from external storage as needed
- Ensure that subpoena requests are forwarded to the Director of Compliance
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not mandatory
- ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
Education: High School Graduate/ GED Required
Hourly Range: $16.75-$18.25/hour
