Position Summary
The Head of People & Culture is responsible to champion the growth of our culture in alignment with our values and foster an environment where our teams can do their best work. They are responsible for building and maintaining our culture by developing and implementing policies and programs in the areas of recognition, engagement, change management, internal communication, organizational development, retention, employment, training, diversity & inclusion, compensation, benefits, recruitment, continuous performance management, feedback, immigration, HRIS, occupational health, safety, employee relations, labor relations, and resource planning. They also direct the company’s People & Culture team in developing and delivering programs that support the organizations overall strategic direction.
Essential Functions & Duties
- Lead a team of People Operations (PO) and Learning & Engagement (L&E) professionals responsible for people operations, designing and developing learning solutions and continuous development of employee engagement and culture.
- Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, leading the company's People & Culture Strategy, tactics, and annual planning process.
- Facilitate organizational development and change management advising leaders and managers in alignment with our core values.
- Manage People Operations and L&E budget, resources, materials, and equipment needed for various programs.
- Writes policies and instructions as required.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (Human Resource Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, etc.)
- Master’s degree in a related field of study preferred.
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
- 7+ years in People & Culture functions in a management capacity.
- Ability to build strong, authentic, trust-based partnerships with the executive team, management, all staff, and outside stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge of People Operations/personnel practices and principles, and all applicable labor, pay, benefits, health and safety laws, and regulations required.
- Excellent project management, planning, time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, organization, and interpersonal skills required.
Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Defined as working primarily in an office setting where employee is provided with a workspace such as an office or cubicle. The employee sits in his/her workspace for over 90% of the workday. Employee may be required to lift 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lift and carry small items or tools. Walking and/or standing are minimally required.
