• Head of Negotiations and Settlement Unit

We are seeking a Personal Injury Attorney to join our team. This candidate will work closely with other Personal Injury Attorneys and Negotiators to assist with all aspects of the Negotiations department. Duties include:

· Lead and manage a team of fifteen experienced team members in the Negotiations department.

· Interact with insurance companies, physicians and other healthcare providers, expert witnesses and subrogation carriers including Medicare/Medicaid.

· Negotiate liens for services rendered.

· Use CPT and ICD -10 codes, fee schedules, and other resource materials to determine appropriate reimbursement of billed services, including applicable fee schedule and/or repricing rational.

· Meet and communicate with clients to guide them through the settlement process.

· Review cases for submission to the Accounting department.

· Negotiate sub outs and assist with assigning cases within the department.

· Maintain a master list of cases in the department and assist with assigning cases within the department.

· Assisting with negotiating client splits.

· Constant interaction and communication with Managing Partners regarding department goals and productivity.

· Manager a high volume of Pre-Lit and Litigation cases including Minors Compromise.

Qualified candidate will be in good standing with the CA State Bar Association with a minimum of 2-4 years of PI litigation experience. Must able to work under strict deadlines, and multitask in a fast paced environment. Candidates must have excellent research skill and oral and written communication skills. Bilingual in Spanish is required.
