The Guest Services Associate welcomes and assists patients, their families, and visitors entering the hospital and residing in all waiting areas by providing exceptional experience and assistance in regard to service offerings. This includes responsibilities such as addressing patient visitor requests, ensuring that Grande Ronde Hospital, Inc. visitor policy is being upheld, and assisting patients and guests to the appropriate location, providing information as needed. This position reports directly to the Patient Access manager.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school graduate or GED required
- Workplace violence prevention training through AVADE, MOAB, or comparable program preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within six (6) months of employment
Work Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years of hospitality, education, retail, public service, or related experience preferred
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal skills including friendliness, empathy, patience, politeness and kindness
- Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and sophistication in social and professional settings
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Work collaboratively within a team setting
- Maintain composure in stressful situations
- Basic computer knowledge of email, schedules and timekeeping
