The Ideal Candidate for this Position

The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills and enjoy interacting with guests and fellow employees. Someone with a very positive, outgoing, and friendly personality is a perfect fit!

Responsibilities for this Position

  • Checks guests in, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted and fulfilled, and accurate information is established.
  • Completes all guest transactions thoroughly.
  • Promotes and sells special hotel programs.
  • Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
  • Must be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and resort policies.
  • Maintains house bank.
  • Communicates all pertinent information to the front office managers and supervisors.
  • Follows set procedures on posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits and refunds.
  • Solicits guest feedback via guest comment cards.
  • Cross-trains in PBX, concierge, and bell podium coverage.
  • Performs other duties as reasonably requested by management.

Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Two years' experience in a service industry, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Must have basic knowledge of computers.
  • Pleasant telephone demeanor.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must have ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Technical Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Requires strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Must meet grooming standards.
