This is a PART-TIME position. Hours are based on your availability and the group load we have at Shocco. (Hours are not guaranteed). We are seeking mostly weekday help but night or weekend availability can be considered. A flexible schedule is very helpful.

• Assist in processing of reservations and conference information including guest check in and check out.
• Ability to work with and problem solve with diverse groups and personalities.
• Always make Guest needs and convenience your number one priority.
• Maintain store and work area in a neat and organized manner.
• Receive in new stock, unpack and log merchandise into computer system.
• Use proper accountability with all cash register transactions.
• Assist team with general office duties including but not limited to filing, reporting, mailing, and processing telephones.
• Responsible for receiving and notifying employees and guests of packages on campus following procedures in place.
• Desire and ability to learn and provide information about the facilities and all products and services offered at Shocco.
• Handle and work with guest during Emergency situations utilizing training and procedures in place.
• Desire and ability to communicate well, have a pleasant personality and good customer service skills.
• Accept miscellaneous assignments as agreed upon with supervisor.

Job Related

• Experience in retail and/or hospitality industry a plus.
• Experience in working with the public preferred.
• Desire and ability to work in a conference center/camp setting to utilize skills for ministry.
• Desire to grow in area of responsibility.
• Desire and ability to be First Aid and CPR certified
• Refrain from any slanderous talk and profanity.
• Desire and seek to grow as a Christian leader and lead others to grow.

Physical

• Physical ability to pack and/or unpack merchandise.
• Physical ability to lift and place onto a platform 4 feet high from floor packages weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Mathematical ability to make change and balance cash register.

Ability to perform multiple tasks and details and perform assigned duties in a pleasant and competent manner.

• Ability to communicate (auditory, verbal and written) adeptly with guests, program personnel and employees
• Ability to abstain from use of tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, and controlled substances.
